Barbara does an outstanding job of explaining the long history (over 700 years) of the Baltic Germans. My father is a Baltic German from Tallinn Estonia. He lived in Heiningen Germany following the trek and immigrated to Canada in 1957. I'm not a CBIAS member and unfortunately never met Barbara. She's clearly an expert on the topic and her detailed presentation is much appreciated because there isn't much public information that is readily available.

Igatahes pidin ka seekord esindama meie erakonda antud debatil, seekord küll siis samuti läbi veebi. Paraku saime kena e-maili täna öösel, kuidas kutse osaleda debatil on minu jaoks tühistatud. Peakorraldaja Reet Marten Sehr teatas, et "Meile on suunatud varem teadmata uudis, et eelmise aasta ettenähtud Europarlamendi visiit Iisraeli jäi ära, sest juudid peavad Jaak Madisoni natsimeelseks. Incredibly valuable resource for history about Coastal Swedes for me, as Estonian with coastal roots. When ever our relatives spoke about them, always very fondly. They referred them as Swedes, but also made very clear that those Swedes were us.
